We carried out the complete remanufacture of the window guards at St Peter’s Church in Folkestone.
Client: St Peter’s Church, Folkestone
Sector: Ecclesiastical
Status: Completed
Each guard was made from precise templates taken directly from the existing windows, ensuring an accurate fit. The guards were fabricated in stainless steel, TIG welded, and finished with discreet fixing tags designed to be securely screwed back into the masonry. To enhance durability and reduce visual impact, the guards were finished with a black powder coat, providing both added protection and anti-reflective properties.
In addition, significant restoration work was required within the church belfry. The original 150-year-old timber structure and its supporting brackets had deteriorated beyond repair. We remade all the steel supporting brackets in stainless steel, delivering long-term strength and corrosion resistance. These new brackets now provide reliable support for the bell, helping to preserve the belfry structure for the next century and beyond.
