Key Dimensions & Power

The carousel has an overall diameter of 4 metres (excluding walking boards) with a 3.4-metre internal diameter and a working height of just 40 cm, allowing dogs of all sizes to engage comfortably and naturally.

Power is provided by three high-torque geared DC motors, driven by a 24 V LiFePO₄ rechargeable battery. This delivers 4–5 hours of continuous operation, with a full recharge achieved in approximately 2 hours, enabling extended training sessions with minimal downtime.

Interchangeable Training Configurations

Designed for maximum adaptability, the system features modular scent boxes and optional walking boards that can be configured to suit specific training objectives.

Scent Boxes

• Supplied as a set of 20 interchangeable boxes
• Two box types included:
  • NATO-compatible scent pot boxes
  • Universal boxes suitable for postal items or hand luggage
• Universal boxes can also be converted into focus walls, expanding training possibilities

Each scent box is a moving target, securely locking onto the carousel track using four precision dowel pegs that engage with numbered positions (1–20). This ensures accurate spacing, smooth rotation, and repeatable setups. Boxes can be quickly repositioned and reversed to face inward or outward, providing complete flexibility in scenario design.

Walking Boards & Realistic Movement

Optional walking boards transform the carousel into a rotating platform, accurately simulating a baggage carousel or postal conveyor system. The low 40 cm height allows smaller dogs to easily jump on and work against the flow of moving items—closely mirroring real operational conditions.

Control Console

The mobile control console is connected via a robust umbilical cable and mounted on casters for easy positioning. It provides:

Built to Order & Customisable

Developed over a 12-month design and testing programme, the Multi-Function Carousel is available on a build-to-order basis. Systems can be customised to meet individual operational or organisational requirements, with optional additions such as soil buckets, manikins, or bespoke scent carriers.
