Skeg Repair on Outboard Motor

The skeg on this outboard motor was severely damaged when the boat ran ashore and struck the beach. The impact ground the skeg down and broke it off at the base.

We removed all remaining damaged material and fabricated a new skeg fin, carefully shaping it to match the original profile. The new fin was precision TIG welded in place, then dressed and finished so the repair blended seamlessly with the original motor. The result was a strong, clean repair, and the customer was extremely pleased with the outcome.
