Ships Bell

The Problem

This bell came from the James Clark Ross, a renowned British research vessel built in 1991 for scientific exploration in some of the world’s most extreme environments, including Antarctica and the Arctic. During a refit in Falmouth, the bell required repair and refurbishment to restore its original condition and preserve an important piece of the ship’s history.

What We Did

The damaged areas of the bell were carefully repaired before the surface was professionally polished. The engraved details were then colour-filled to restore the bell to its former glory and preserve its original appearance.
