Victorian Cash Register
The Problem
We sourced this 1907 Victorian till from a well-known auction site to create a working display for our shop. Decades of neglect had taken a heavy toll; the register had sat forgotten in a damp basement for over half a century following decimalisation. When it arrived, the mechanism was completely seized, the exterior was heavily tarnished, and several critical historic parts were entirely missing.
What We Did
This Victoria cash register was meticulously restored by our team to serve as a functional centrepiece for our trade counter. To return it to its former glory, we handcrafted custom replacements for numerous broken components and refinished the entire unit to match its original historical specifications.
